It's efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in one go. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to remove dirt, pet hair, and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush assists in removing debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up and performs well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely to mop you must pay attention to this.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that let you manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it gets entangled in a hazard like a power cable draped over a rug. It won't function until you untangle it manually. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two, which isn't an issue except for the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot vacuum cleaner reviews thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxes.
