WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade increases Item level upgrade level by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item level upgrade however they'll always be cheaper than buying new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that are used to level up weapons tools, armor, and accessories. They can be purchased by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Another significant change is that crests have one usage, so it's important to use them properly. It's best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
