World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will gain 3percent of its previous damage every time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades also come with specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once and cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they would require to reach the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player can get up to five boost upgrades at one time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item upgrade will drop in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it's possible that the item will be obsolete or even break if the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also offer the player a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the Best item upgrader method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. The item upgrade system allows players to increase the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each item level requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or obtained from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When a player upgrade the equipment they have the original item will be replaced by an item that is new. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own bonus. This could be a problem because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with an initial level and a completely different set of bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be repeated often, as it could waste lots of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and allows the player to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or exits the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item is extremely valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of the non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to increase the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each each time you upgrade an item upgrade it has the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original condition which means that the player has to purchase more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon receives a crit chance boost that it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item upgrader kit's definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than normal equipment. For example they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will still need to carry every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade requires the use of different upgrade ingredients.
