Path of Exile item upgrader mod Upgrades

Upgrades to items are a common and important way to improve the performance of numerous items in Path of Exile. They can cause additional damage, AD or even affixes.

Rare-grade equipment is usually superior to the more modernized Common or Magic equipment because of their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a kind of upgrade that can be applied to weapon and armor items. They improve the stats of the item they are attached to. Armor upgrades can be found in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. Alternatively, they can also be salvaged from items that have upgrade components within them by with a professional or higher salvage kit.

The amount of damage an armored Item Upgrader Kit or weapon will absorb is contingent on the extent of its upgrades. The upgrade of an armor piece to the highest upgrade level will increase its ability to absorb damage. But, it's important to note that this will also increase its weight, causing it to be heavier than it was before.

There are several kinds of armor upgrades that are available in the game, and each one has distinct effects. Some upgrades give armor an additional number of health points, while others make it stronger and lighter. The type of armor upgrade that an Best item upgrader will receive will be indicated by the name of the upgrade, as shown in the table below.

The Jeweler can enhance the quality of the gem in stages that range from Crude up to Royal. The stat boosts can vary depending on the level the jewel is at when it is inserted into weapons, jewelry, or equipment.

All kinds of jewels can be crafted at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary jewels which require you to be at a sufficient level to be able to get them. Jewels can be replaced with another one without damaging the original. However it is only possible to replace one jewel in a piece of equipment once.

It is normal to use more jewels for aesthetic reasons. The jewels also improve performance and create a surface harder than metal so that repeated friction caused by pivots does not cause damage to the movement.

A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs to enhance the appearance of your shields and weapons. These provide a small bonus and are able to be swapped easily, but are not guaranteed to drop as loot. Glyphs can be upgraded, like jewelry, at the Jeweler for gold and a Scattered Crystal. Glyphs may also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, like traits and aegis, aren't swappable and are only recoverable by using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets can give your character various small, but beneficial benefits. You can find them in the starting area as rewards for personal stories or loot. They are also available from vendors as well as through doing road interaction. They can also be made by jewelers and later found or purchased on the Trading Post.

The first trinket that a player will unlock is the cloak. It provides a tiny but valuable boost in movement speed and the ability to escape. As a rule trinket upgrades should be a priority BiS (Best item upgrade in Slot) items that you aren't likely to replace anytime soon.
