It can be a bit difficult to test as there are various pins on the connector, and each has its own functions. The most effective method to test it is by measuring the resistance between the ECU and the sensor. It should read about 1000 ohms when it is at full operation. Check for evidence of coolant or oil in the connector bay if you have issues with this component.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, while accelerating at full speed from the highway paytoll, I experienced massive power loss as if the engine was running out of gas or the injectors are not firing any more. Today, i pulled out the spark plugs, three were soaked with gazoline and the fourth one was dry. I placed a tissue over each injector hole, and when I turn the engine on without sparks, the ones that have gazoline pop right out. The 4th one remains closed. I inspected the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. i get zero Ohm. Therefore, i think the issue is elsewhere.
I also tried to reset the PID but with no luck. The car will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it works fine when the G28 plugged in. However the intermittent misfire issue continues to occur at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even if it is not plugged in, shows an ice temperature of -49c. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar when the actual pressure is zero.
I'm not certain what to do, i think i've pretty much completely ruled out all other possibilities. I'm concerned that i may have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! TIA!
