UPVC Replacement Door Handles

As time passes, the handles on your doors will wear down and will require replacement. It is crucial to match the dimensions of the handles that were previously used when replacing them.

Inline Lever/Lever

This is particularly beneficial for narrower door frames where the cylinder is located further back. A lever that is shorter is a good choice for doors where the latch could be activated by the thumb turn located on the inside.

Lever Pad

A Lever Pad door handle made of upvc operates differently from lever-type handles that are found on the majority of doors. These handles are operated by one spindle, or two spindles, either inline or offset. They are generally used on UPVC double glazed doors and come in a variety of styles tilt and turn window handles finishes.

The window handles replacement are available in various finishes, including White Chrome, and Gold. The finish is BS EN 1670 Grade 5 and resistant to corrosion. This gives the handle the best performance and durability for its intended purpose.

All of the UPVC handle lever pad styles are supplied with the spindle and screws that allow them to be fitted on a new or existing uPVC door. Cylinder locks are usually used on uPVC doors, but can also be found on other types of doors. Cylinder locks are operated by using a key that unlocks the cylinder's casing. This exposes pins that can be aligned with those in the lock and allow them to turn the revolving camera, thereby opening the door. euro lock handles Cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins, with external and internal doors typically needing different levels of security.

The choice of the correct cylinder is crucial; it is dependent on how your doors and handle are used. Doors that are external, for instance are required to be fitted with cylinders that are more secure and internal doors can be secured using an ordinary cylinder. In addition, some cylinders have extra features that can improve security further, such as anti-drill or anti-bump properties.

A euro cylinder should be properly measured to ensure it's the right size for your door. The cylinder must be measured from the central screw hole to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn in the event that one is present. It is recommended to do this with the lock in place however, if this is not possible, you may remove it to measure. It is important to ensure that there is no cylindrical lock that extends beyond the handle or escutcheon. This can make it vulnerable to snapping lock attacks.

Spring Cassette

There was a time when handles did not have a spring built into them, and without it they are more likely to slide or drop once the locking mechanism has been disengaged. This component is the best way to solve this issue. It also prevents your upvc door from becoming stuck in either the closed or open position as they aren't easy to close manually.

These spring cassettes have been specifically designed to be used with sprung multipoint locks, they will not fit unsprung multipoint handles and you will need to have a custom hole cut into your backplate to allow these to fit (please see image for technical diagram). These cassettes are a replacement for damaged or missing cassettes on the backplate of uPVC door handles. They feature a square cut-out that accommodates an 8mm spindle and they are supplied individually.
