How to Replace an audi keyless go G28 Engine Speed Sensor

1. Engine Speed Sensor

The sensor is used to connect the G40 Camshaft position Sensor. The ecu has to know when the crankshaft reached TDC, and the location of the camshaft to trigger the spark and injectors.
If this sensor fails when it fails, the ECU will display an error code P00160. This indicates that the Crank Shaft is not in line with the Intake Camshaft. It could also indicate an issue with the chain or a jump in the chain link of the upper chain. The code will not appear without the additional information provided by other sensors (G4 or G40).
Testing is a bit tricky as there are two different connector pins, and they have different functions but the most effective method to test it is to measure resistance between the sensor and the ECU. It should read approximately 1000 ohms when it is at full operation. Check for signs of coolant or oil in the connector bay if you have problems with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when i was accelerating to the fullest speed from highway paytoll, I experienced an abrupt drop in power like the engine is out of gas or the injectors are not firing any more. I took out the spark plugs this morning and found that 3 were soaked in gasoline, and the 4th was dry. I placed a tissue over each hole in the injector and when I start the engine without sparks, the 3 with gazoline jump out. The 4th one stays closed. I inspected the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. I got 0ohm. I think the issue is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset the PID but with no luck. The car will start when the G28 is disconnected, but it is running fine with the G28 connected. However the intermittent misfire issue still occurs at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature of that is -49c even after unplugging it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars when the actual pressure is zero.
I don't know what to do. I feel like i've pretty much all other possibilities out. I'm afraid i may have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please chime in! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 gets a signal from the RPM sensor. The GM-style transmitter functions similarly to the G4 sender and both work on the 80,100,200, UrS, and RS2 vehicles. It is easy to find an extra in a wrecking shop or parts store.
