1. Engine Speed Sensor

The grey wire is situated on the edge of transmission, directly above the flywheel ring. This sensor sends an electrical signal through the grey wire to pin T55/49. The ECU uses this information to control fuel and boost. It also sends an indicator to the G5 Tachometer in instrument cluster.

The sensor is used to connect the G40 Camshaft position Sensor. The ecu has to know when the crankshaft reached TDC, and the location of the camshaft to trigger the spark and injectors.

If this sensor fails when it fails, the ECU will display an error code P00160. This indicates that the Crank Shaft is not in line with the Intake Camshaft. It could also indicate an issue with the chain or a jump in the chain link of the upper chain. The code will not appear without the additional information provided by other sensors (G4 or G40).

I placed a tissue over each hole in the injector and when I start the engine without sparks, the 3 with gazoline jump out. The 4th one stays closed. I inspected the ground connection on ECU pins 14/55, 30/55 and 48/55. I got 0ohm. I think the issue is somewhere else.

I also tried to reset the PID but with no luck. The car will start when the G28 is disconnected, but it is running fine with the G28 connected. However the intermittent misfire issue still occurs at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature of that is -49c even after unplugging it. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bars when the actual pressure is zero.

I don't know what to do. I feel like i've pretty much all other possibilities out. I'm afraid i may have missed something. If anyone has any suggestions, please chime in! TIA!
